About Hawkenbury FC
Hawkenbury FC were first formed in 1917, they ran until 1933 and were then reformed in 1947 by the well-known local football family "The Stringers". The late Roy Stringer was managing up until the late 1980s having been involved with the under 16s, the Reserves and the First team over the years.
The club were always members of the Tonbridge League until it dissolved in 2017 and then joined the Sevenoaks League long with many fellow Tonbridge League clubs. Over the years we have won several division titles and various cup competitions. Since being in the Sevenoaks League the First team have won back to back promotions and are currently in the Premier Division, whilst the Reserves are currently in Division Three.
The club has always been well run with every member of the committee either being a past or present player including Chris Moon, Gary Hardwick and Peter Manktelow who are all ex-players that have stayed loyal to club for many years.
